Born on 09/23/1981, I am of Kurdish origin. I started dancing at the age of 12. For two years, I was part of a Kurdish folk dance troupe that received the top prize in Kurdistan. At the same time, I learned to play the Davul (a large drum) and specialized in this instrument, performing in various venues across Turkey, especially in Istanbul.

I have been living in France since 2002, where I teach dance and play music in different groups. Passionate about rhythmic instruments, I have since been practicing Kurdish percussion, especially the Daf. A close relative of the Bendir, it is a large frame drum from Kurdish tradition, distinguished by its sound enriched with a series of metal rings.

Since 2010, I have been meticulously crafting these traditional drums. I make the Dafs myself using high-quality materials such as natural goat skin and linden wood.
