Deeply connected to the Italian territory of the “Quattro Province” and in particular to Cegni, the birthplace of Giacomo and Ernesto Sala (among the most important traditional oboe players of the last century), Stefano Valla and Daniele Scurati are the direct continuers of the traditional musical repertoire related to the “piffero” (popular oboe) and accordion. Their activity aims to keep alive the music and oral tradition of this mountainous area and to stimulate its diffusion through festivals, concerts, workshops, and conferences. The duo carries out a dual activity, playing at the festivals of the Apennine villages, where dance is still one of the fundamental moments of aggregation (patron saint’s festivals, weddings, fairs, carnivals) and in the context of music festivals and events with concerts in Italy and abroad.
