Barbapedana is a musical group active since 1978 on the Italian musical scene through concerts, shows and concert-lessons.
The initial research and revival of the musical traditions of the Veneto area was soon joined by an interest in the popular music of Eastern Europe, including gypsy music and Jewish “klezmer”
Six CDs, numerous shows, concerts and tours in Mexico, Cape Verde Islands, Tunisia, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Romania, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland as well as in the most important Italian acoustic and ethnic music festivals.
In 2008 the group gave a concert for the European Parliament at the Brussels City Hall.
