Once upon a time, traditional singing, along with music and dance, represented a constant expressive mode in popular culture: people sang for love, to give rhythm to work, for entertainment, for protest, to tell stories, to collectively celebrate religious festivals and weddings, and everything that concerned the entire community. Through singing, the group’s identity was strengthened, and values to be respected were transmitted.

This project is born to give voice to this almost completely disappeared world and, somewhat like the ancient storytellers, to embark on a journey through Italy and beyond our borders, a journey where roots and cultures intertwine and contaminate each other, bringing with them a current message of peace and tolerance.
