Patxi Eta Konpania – Basque Country

Speciality

Three musicians gathered around choreographer Patxi Perez to offer us dances and music originating from the popular traditions of the Basque Country and beyond.

From 1997 to 2004, Patxi Perez performed with the groups “Tapia eta Leturia” and “Batbiru”.

Today, he has built a strong bond with the Konpania group, musicians who, like him, share the passion for bringing dance and music to dance.

The interaction with the audience is essential for them: it takes place on the dance floor, where Patxi guides and makes entire halls and squares dance step by step. Basque fandangos and jumps alternate with mazurkas, bourrées, and Scottish dances.

The group offers a real and engaging encounter between musicians, dancers, and the audience, bridging traditional Basque dance with that of other countries.
